STARTERS
MUSHROOM & TARRAGON PATE.– A vegetarian pate with mushrooms, shallots, garlic, & fresh tarragon. Served with salad & toast. HOME MADE SOUP OF THE DAY- served with a warm granary roll STILTON & CHUTNEY RAREBIT– Toasted ciabatta topped with our own red onion marmalade, stilton rarebit & baked until bubbling. PRAWN COCKTAIL– Prawns with a traditional marie rose sauce, served on a bed of mixed leaves with brown bread & butter. SPANISH STYLE MEATBALLS– Minced beef, fried with onions, garlic & parmesan & baked in a bubbling bath of tomatoes, wine & fresh basil.
MAIN COURSES
ROASTED SHOULDER OF LAMB - With a red wine & rosemary gravy. CHILLI & LIME SEA BASS– WHOLE fish stuffed with ginger, chilli, lime & spring onion, drizzled with a lime dressing & oven baked. *10 oz RIB-EYE STEAK— To your taste with a mixed peppercorn sauce. BRAMBLE CHICKEN– Plump chicken breast marinated with cider & served with a sweet blackberry sauce. All the above served with potatoes and vegetables of the day AFRICAN VEGETABLE & FRUIT CURRY - A delightful curry packed with spices & gorgeous flavours (Too many to write, ask for more detail!). Served with naan bread & our own mango chutney.
HOME MADE DESSERTS
STICKY TOFFEE PUDDING-Served with cream or ice-cream LEMON MERINGUE ROULADE– A light meringue, sprinkled with toasted almond flakes & rolled with lashings of fresh cream & our own lemon curd . APPLE & PLUM COBBLER— Simply scrumptious! Served with cream, ice-cream or custard. CHOCOLATE & BANANA CRÈPE— Home made pancake, filled with banana slices & served with a hot, chocolate sauce & cream or ice-cream.
